Feedback

The feedback received from my final music video was very positive as everyone saw a huge improvement from my 2nd draft. Doing the reshoot at the strand and adding the shot of her taking and burning her ex boyfriend clothes made the video much stronger and more appealing to an audience. However, they did mentioned that the shots of the images were too long which I agree with.

2nd Screening Feedback

Today I screened the second draft of my music video to Shaun and Sinead. They were pleased with the progression that has been made from the 1st draft. However, there are some changes that I will need to make. Firstly, they felt that I should get rid of the Bad TV effect as they could not see footage clearly, so I will be removing the video filter. Furthermore Sinead suggested that I should remove the police car footage and remove all the images of the dead body and knives etc. Shaun also mentioned that there was not enough performance footage of the artists, so I will need to add more footage of her singing to the song. In addition to this, Sinead also said the narrative was not well planned as the video started with the artists plotting to kill her boyfriend then scenes of them happy. We discussed on how we can change this, we concluded that it will start with a close up of the artist , then a scene of her walking on the beach then the footages of her and her boyfriend . Then her finding out that he has cheated. Instead of her killing him , Sinead suggested that I should shoot a scene of her going to her boyfriend room and taking all his clothes and burning them instead of her killing him. Overall, they where pleased with the quality of the footage from the second shoot. This feedback has been very helpful and I will use it to make changes to my music video.

Feedback on 1st Screening

These are the feedback sheets that I received from my class and teachers on my 1st screening. The feedback received was not as I was expecting as a majority of it was negative. The shots were to long which made the video less appealing . There was also not enough performance which is one of the main things that needs to be featured in the music video. Furthermore the shots were not in sync with music which made the shots look awful. This feedback has helped me see where I have gone wrong and things that I need to change in order for me to have a successful video. I need to seriously work harder and reshoot ASAP as time is not on my side and I need to stop leaving things to the last minute as I will not be able to achieve a good quality video. This feedback has been a real eye opener.

Pitch Feedback

The feedback recieved from my class mates and teacher were very negative. Many of them were not clear on the narrative which is due to me not completing my storyboard, which is the main reason why I think they did not fully understand the video's narrative. Also some of my class mates suggested that I should change the artist name as they did not like the artists last name. By having this feedback it has been useful as I have seen that I have to make some changes to my artist. I will also re-do my pitch as I would have made changes to the presentation. These are the feedback sheets from Mrs Raji and the class.

Blog Feedback

In class today I had a discussion with my teacher about my blog and things that I need to and how I can improve my blog. The video above is an audio of what we talked about.
